New York vs Leitrim GAA final score:
3-29 to 1-16
This is a big deal for an American based club to be competing in Ireland at this level.
Suncoast 7s Hurling
In Florida, Tampa Bay GAA hosted the first hurling tournament of 2023, the Suncoast 7’s. Nine hurling clubs competed in this 7-a-side tournament and the weekend started off with a poc around on the beach.
Congrats to Atlanta GAA who won in a close final against Knoxville GAC.
Final Score:
Atlanta 03-02 (11)
Knoxville 02-04 (10)
One of the Tampa GAA players works at a local brewery, Cigar City Brewery, and introduced a new beer at the event called the “wristy hurler”. The name was voted on by the tournament attendees.
