Hurling At a Baseball Game
In New Hampshire, hurling was featured as the first pitch at a baseball game. New Hampshire Wolves introduced hurling to baseball fans at a New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball game.
This is the third time hurling has been featured as the first pitch at a baseball game. Previously, North Carolina’s Red Wolves Hurling Club in April 2023 and Montana’s Thomas Meagher Hurling Club in September 2022.
2023 Indy Invitational
In Indiana, Indianapolis GAA hosted the Indy Invitational, which is one of the largest Midwest hurling tournaments.
26 teams from 16 clubs participated in 40 matches.

Charlotte Connolly Cup
In North Carolina, Charlotte GAA hosted 25 teams for the 22nd Annual Connolly Cup on June 3rd. Raleigh GAA won in the camogie and Red Wolves HC won in the hurling.
GAA World Games Team Canada
The countdown is on for the largest GAA World Games happening at the end of July. There will be 2000+ players from 100 teams participating.
We caught up with Canadian camogie player Julie to share about their preparations and the growth of camogie in Canada since the last GAA World Games.
GAA World Games Southeast USA Y’all Stars

July 16 – Philadelphia Youth GAA will host the 10th Annual Liberty Bell Championships for players aged U6-U18.

July 22 – Naperville Hurling Club will host the Joe Hurd Memorial 9-a-side Hurling Tournament.
📍 Naperville, IL
July 24-28 – 2000+ players from 100+ clubs from around the world will compete in the 2023 GAA World Games. This will be the largest GAA World Games to date.
📍 Derry, Northern Ireland
July 27-30 – San Francisco GAA will host the Continental Youth Championships for children aged from U-7 to U-18. The CYC is the largest Gaelic Sports competition outside of Ireland.
