Hurling in St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations
In St. Patrick’s Day news, several clubs across North America were featured on TV by their local news stations.
Hurling was also included in many St Patrick’s Day Parades across the USA.
New Hurling Club
In new club news, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga now has a Hurling Club. Chattanooga Hurling Club was started in Nov 2022 and are looking for UTC students to join their team.

College Hurling Finals
In Kentucky, the NCGAA hosted the National College Hurling Championships in Louisville. For the 4th consecutive time, University of Pittsburgh are National College Hurling Champions!
Bob’s Burgers Feature Hurling (again)
Hurling made a second appearance on the animated sitcom, Bob’s Burgers. Kathleen, voiced by Irish actress Sharon Horgan, first introduced hurling to Teddy the handyman in 2019. And in this recent episode, he streams a hurling match at Bob’s Burgers to impress Kathleen.
Irish Fest Camden Cup
In South Carolina, Charleston Hurling Club hosted the 2nd Annual Irish Fest Camden Cup on March 4. This tournament was part of the local Irish festival and many spectators were watching hurling for the very first time.
Charleston Hurling Club took over the Play Hurling social media accounts showing all the behind-the-scenes action. 5 clubs took part in this tournament and newly formed Red Wolves HC took the win.
Hostess City Hooley
In Georgia, Savannah GAA hosted the Hostess City Hooley Hurling Tournament. Hurlers and Camogs across the Southeast USA participated with Atlanta GAA bringing home the cup.

Club of the Month
The club of the month goes to the newly formed Red Wolves Hurling Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. A big thank you to Joey and East Coast Dave who went all out entertaining us for their takeover week.
They brought their own cinematic universe to Play Hurling, including a livestream of the Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day parade, a special appeal for adult players, and player profiles.

April 29 – The New Hampshire Wolves will be hosting the Northeast April 7’s Hurling Tournament.
