Charlotte’s Connolly Cup
In North Carolina news, the 21st Annual Connolly Cup was hosted by Charlotte GAA on June 4th. 250+ players from 22 teams participated in the Connolly Cup, including the Cayman Islands GAA who flew in for the tournament.
Raleigh Cú Chulainn won their first tournament in only their 2nd year as a camogie team. And Charlotte GAA won in the hurling.
NorthStar 9s Tournament
In Minnesota news, Twin Cities Robert Emmetts in Minneapolis hosted the NorthStar 9s Tournament also on June 4th. There were friendly matches throughout the day between Madison, Twin Cities, and Milwaukee.
Northwest Draft Tournament
In Montana, the Wolfe Tones Hurling Club hosted their annual Draft Tournament on June 17th. During this unique tournament, players were drafted into teams at random, and it also included a poc fada competition.

New Hurling Clubs
In new club news, Flagstaff Hounds and Phoenix Gaels merged together to form the Brian Boru Hurling Club in Arizona.

Bill Murray Is A Hurling Fan
In Bill Murray news, which is a first of this series, Bill Murray attended not just one but two hurling matches in Ireland. He showed up not sure who to support but at his second match, he was a Limerick fan.
Atlanta Peach Cup
In Georgia, Atlanta GAA hosted the 2022 Peach Cup on June 25th. Over 200 players from 16 teams competed in camogie, hurling, and Gaelic football.
Atlanta GAA took the win in the camogie and Coastal Virginia GAA won in the hurling.
New York Minor Board
There were two major updates in New York Minor Hurling, the féile and the NYMB finals.
New York Win The Féile
New York Féile Hurlers make history as the first American team to win the National Féile Hurling Division 4 Plate in Ireland.
Féile na nGael directly translates to “Irish festival” and is an invite-only annual tournament for children aged 10-14. It’s been hosted by the GAA in Ireland since 1971 and this years tournament took place in Meath.
New York Minor Board Final
The U9, U11, & U13 New York Minor Board Hurling Finals were hosted by Rockland GAA on June 19th, which was a great display of the next generation of American hurlers and camogs!

Club of the Month
June’s club of the month goes to Indianapolis GAA. Thanks to Kyle from Indy GAA for sharing coverage of the Indy Invitational on June 18th.
The Indy Invitational is 15 years old, and in 2014 then-mayor Greg Ballard attended the event and officially declared it “Indianapolis GAA Day”.
During their takeover week, Indy GAA shared some throwbacks of their club and a behind-the-scenes look at the Indy Invitational.
