The UNC Irish Sports and Culture Club was established in the Summer of 2012 to promote Gaelic sports in Chapel Hill. The main goal of the club is to: introduce the sport of Gaelic Football, Handball, Hurling & Camogie to our community & the Triangle area, and create a social group and atmosphere that celebrates Irish culture here in Chapel Hill.
Whether you’re just interested in learning about Irish sports or music, or you want a new lifelong hobby, please come by any of our practices to watch (though we’d prefer you to participate!) or swing by the semi-weekly traditional music sessions at Steel String Brewery in Carrboro, NC.
Friday training sessions will resume at Hooker Fields #4 every Friday from 5:30-7. Additionally, Raleigh GAA has training sessions every Sunday mornings at 10:30 at Martin Middle School.
